Well, it was based on the real Zarafa's 550-mile walking from Marseille to Paris. The extraordinary gift from Muhammad Ali to the French king Charles X inspired people to write a book and make this film.
Somehow, I dun feel the smoothness through whole movie. Yes, may be the book would play better part of emotional of this fantastic adventure. Anyway, that's good way to enjoy Francais. 7/10 for rating : ]
